Beef Karahi Recipe

Ingredients:

 

Ø  500g beef, cut into small pieces

Ø  3 tablespoons oil

Ø  2 large tomatoes, chopped

Ø  1 large onion, thinly sliced

Ø  3-4 green chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)

Ø  1 tablespoon ginger paste

Ø  1 tablespoon garlic paste

Ø  1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Ø  1 teaspoon coriander powder

Ø  1/2 teaspoon red bean stew powder (conform to taste)

Ø  1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Ø  1 teaspoon garam masala

Ø  Salt to taste

Ø  Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

Ø  Ginger juliennes for garnish (optional)

Beef Karahi Recipe

Instructions:

 

Ø  Heat oil in a karahi or a wok over medium-high heat.

 

Ø  Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a couple of moments.

 

Ø  Add thinly sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

 

Ø  Add ginger glue and garlic glue, and sauté for one more moment until the crude smell vanishes.

 

Ø  Add hamburger pieces and cook until they are seared on all sides.

 

Ø  Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are softened and the oil starts to separate.

 

Ø  Lower the heat, cover the karahi, and let the beef cook in its own juices for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until it's tender. You might have to add a little water in the event that it begins to stick.

 

Ø  Once the beef is tender, increase the heat and let any excess moisture evaporate. Stir occasionally.

 

Ø  Sprinkle garam masala over the beef and stir well.

 

Ø  Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and ginger juliennes (if using).

 

Ø  Serve Beef Karahi hot with naan or chapatis. It's a flavorful and spicy dish that's sure to be a hit with beef lovers! Enjoy!
